Day 12-Great Divide Trail Section F (Jasper to Mount Robson) Today we hiked from Miette Lake to the Moose River. We took our time exploring the beautiful open meadows of Miette/Center Pass and Grant Pass. We then descended into timber and moved through a large wildfire area. The brush thickened and the number of deadfalls climbed, so we were extremely excited to arrive at the stunning Moose Riv...

Great Divide Trail Section E (Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper)- Day 7. We hiked ~25km from Maligne Pass to Trapper Creek campground on the Maligne River trail. Parks Canada decomissioned the trail in 2012, so portions have deteriorated and become overgrown with willow. If you're wearing pants, the hiking is still enjoyable and reasonably quick. However, it would likely be more challenging...

The day overlapped with the famous Brazeau Loop Trail. The day included two easy, gorgeous passes: Jonas Pass (2320m) and Jonas Shoulder (2470m). The campgrounds require reservation through the National Parks system. Jonas Shoulder was very ...

Great Divide Trail Section E (Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper)- Day 4. We hiked from a small campsite along the Cataract Creek in the White Goat Wilderness to the Boulder campsite in Jasper National Park. The wildflowers were epic and the views from Cataract Pass (2506m) were world class- hanging glaciers, turquoise alpine lakes, and big horned sheep! This was one of my favourite days of ...

Great Divide Trail Section E (Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper)- Day 3 We hiked from Waterfalls Creek backcountry campground to a small campsite along Cataract Creek. Both campsites required a random backcountry permit. Highlights of the day were Pinto Pass (2441m), Pinto Lake (2104m), and a gorgeous supper on the river bed of Cataract Creek. Day 3 put us back on track for our national par...

Great Divide Trail Section E (Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper)- Day 2. We hiked from Michele Lakes to Waterfalls backcountry campground (both random backcountry camping permits). Highly recommend!...

Your videos showed the trail and your comments about the trail quality and where you were sufficiently that I have finally figured out how I can do a good LASH to continue my quest on the PCT. I am solder and slow so it gets complicated. Thank you for your videos. Thank you, Babysteps

I stumbled across this 4 day trip by chance and watched the whole 4 day series. Great videos and a great adventure for sure. I'm impressed with how much gear you were able to carry on a 10 ft kayak. Leaves me thinking I might do a trip with my kayak (12 ft) next year instead of my canoe?

I would like to ask if you need an appointment for this? or not Because it seems that there are some road conditions, all wild camping is closed, but we have nine days vacation in March, and we really want to camp in the wild.

Along highway 60 there are a few designated spots for this. Along summer hiking trails. check in with office. Can't remember if free. you can be on some summer campsites or just the woods. But I think you are free to roam the entire park but that could be considered advanced knowledge/winter skills.
